Still Broke

I'm off to a good start for the day but I'm still broke. By 9:00 a.m. I had already found a dime and a penny. Maybe today will make up for the string of duds I've had this week.

Prince Street station had another dime for me. It was blending in to the floor pretty well, but it winked at me.

I found one more penny on Irving Place and my daughter brought home two cents from the "playground." Not sure why there's money on the school playground but I'll take it.

Total haul for the day = .24

TOTAL to date = $19.84

Found Money, What an interesting metaphor, "winked at me." As an active pursuer of "found money" I recently wrote that coins seem to have a "soul", waiting to be found. I walk and search nearly everyday in New Orleans and I fully understand "string of duds." Also, like you, I now have family members helping me in the quest for "found Money."

I found two quarters on 6th Avenue right next to one another. I scooped those two up quicker than you could say "Fifty Cent!"

Loved your ref to Orwell on 1984. I hope you greet Verne very soon with 20,000 (!!).
Let's define "very soon" with regards to human lifetime, shall we?
